Behold Bawah in Indonesia

Bawah Island lies in the heart of the Indonesian Anambas, just three hours from Singapore by ferry, and it’s opening its doors for the first time to guests this year.

A marine conservation area, a maximum of 70 guests are allowed at any one time, with 35 eco-designed suites and overwater bungalows providing guests with a private oasis.

The Tree Top restaurant at Bawah will serve bespoke Asian-fusion cuisine with locally-grown ingredients alongside a curated drinks menu to showcase authentic flavours.

There are also three bars for guests to unwind at, the Grouper Bar, Jules Verne Bar and Boat House Bar.

Island activities include spa, yoga, pilates, meditation, and reiki sessions at Aura Wellness centre, hiking in the forests of Bawah, and open-air cinema sessions.

Fishing and anchoring in Bawah’s waters are forbidden in order to protect the abundance of flora, fauna and butterflies on the island.

Officially open on 31 July, the Bawah Island experience can be booked now from USD1,960 for two people per night.
