World Travellers thinks ‘next phase’ as Stevenson departs

The World Travellers Board is considering its future needs and ‘thinking about the next phase of development’, following the departure of chief executive officer Eden Stevenson.

Craig Corbett, chairman of World Travellers, says Stevenson has decided to make a move to Taupo and seek opportunities there. ‘Change is inevitable and Eden has left the company in good shape,’ adds Corbett.

While a decision is still to be made about a CEO role, the company has made two new appointments.

Dianne Lamberton, who has been with World Travellers for nearly three and a half years, moves into an operations manager role and is responsible (among other things) for handling day-to-day enquiries from World Travellers stores.

Prior to joining World Travellers she was accounts manager at Fortis Travel Limited. Meantime, Sandy Butler has been appointed to handle the marketing at World Travellers.

She was most recently retail sales manager at Merino Kids but prior to that was retail advertising manager with Air New Zealand for more than five years.
