The group stopped off in both directions in Singapore, with the outbound accommodation at Village Hotel Changi - which is included as part of SQs stopover package - and on the return leg at the Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay. The Maldives resorts the agents stayed at were a short speed boat away from the airport in Male. They stayed at the Sheraton Full Moon and enjoyed lazing in the lagoon and watching the sun go down with a cocktail in one hand. They then moved onto the Centara Ras Fushi, an intimate all-inclusive resort with a quiet lagoon to watch the stingrays and reef sharks. Participants report enjoying the relaxed feel of the resort and not having to pay extra for cocktails at the swim up bar. Overwater rooms had uninterrupted views of the ocean.
Agents were ‘treated like kings and queens’ with a private transfer to the Anantara Veli. This resort is made up of three hotels and the group experienced the overwater bungalows. Anantara Veli is an adults only resort until 6pm, when families from the Dhigu & Naladhu can come over by boat and dine at the resort. ‘We visited the Anantara Naladhu, which is a slice of hotel heaven and a place for clients who want privacy and luxury. Anantara Dhigu is a little boat ride from Anantara Veli, and this is a family resort with all the bells & whistles,’ says GO Holidays escort Judy Borne. In Singapore the agents enjoyed a half day city sightseeing tour with Tour East, taking in all of the destination’s highlights as well as hotel site inspections.
