Katrina Ku from Thai, Rahul Sharma from Exotic Holidays and Pettine Holland from GTN escorted the agents from Auckland to Sri Lanka on what particiant Peter Carpenter of Planet Earth Travel decribes as ‘a wonderful seven-day tour with Green Holiday.’ The agents got to experience one of the best safaris out of Africa at Minneryiya National Park where Asian elephants and other wild life are abundant. ‘There was no time wasted on this trip as the agents climbed Lion Rock in Sigiriya to soak up spectacular views of the area, visited the archeological sites at Polonnaruwa, learned about the spices of Sri Lanka, watched a cultural performance and saw the sites of Kandy including the Temple of the Tooth Relic,’ says Carpenter. ‘We also visited a tea factory plantation in Nuwara Eliya, walked around the Galle Fort, visited the Tsunami Photo Museum and saw some of the site’s of Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo.
The agents were well looked after by the wonderful tour guide Subash Piyathilake and his team as well as Chari Thilakawardene from Green Holiday.’ The agents are now geared up with first hand knowledge of Sri Lanka. ‘This is a great destination as it has something on offer for everyone as there are many climates ranging from cold in Nuwara Eliya to tropical in Galle,’ adds Carpenter.
