For those in the trade who know Maher owner and director, Andy Richards, the move to Wanaka will seem overdue. Maintaining a lot of the existing crew and hiring some fresh local talent the team has seen Maher continue delivering personalised service as well as increase capacity. A business manager has been appointed to oversee the finer details, day to day running and team management. Former senior consultant Emily Newrick has stepped up to the position bringing 11 years within the travel industry including five years with Maher Escorted Tours as experience for the role. The first item on her agenda is bringing the 2019 Tour Programme out, presenting a blend of new itineraries along with the evergreen favourites.
New on the roster for this year are a few American trips with the USA & Panama Canal Cruise covering some of the nation’s best known cities alongside a cruise through the Panama Canal and Mexican coast; the Heartland and Mississippi River Cruise for music and culture buffs; plus the California & the Pacific Northwest including a luxury Seabourn cruise. In Europe the Italian lakes tour has been redesigned to include a French river cruise through Provence and Burgundy. In Asia the Colours of India tour has been expanded to include Sri Lanka, adding another colourful and interesting destination for some added cultural flavour. The 2019 tour programme is available now as are individual tour brochures. Request copies at email@example.com
