Exotic: Discover Malaysia

Exotic: Discover Malaysia

The wide diversity of Malaysia is the focus of a campaign that has been launched by Exotic Holidays, in conjunction with Tourism Malaysia.

‘Malaysia is one of the 12 places on the world classified as mega-diverse and that is a title the destination well deserves,’ says Exotic Holidays managing director Rahul Sharma. ‘At Exotic Holidays we have an indepth knowledge of the destination and we are the place for New Zealand travel agents and brokers to start when they have clients interested in Malaysia.’ Sharma says the country has some of the oldest tropical jungles in the world and as such is home to one of a kind wildlife. ‘Much of this is easily accessible for travellers, including family groups. All that is needed is a sense of adventure.’

Orangutans can still be viewed in the wild at Sabah’s Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary and Sarawak’s Semenggoh Wildlife Centre. Meantime, the Kinabatangan River region is an ideal place for clients to see Asian elephants, crocodiles, and proboscis monkeys as well as orangutans. For those seeking a harder challenge or a touch of adrenalin, Exotic Holidays points out that clients can climb Mt Kinabalu, a heritage site, in Sabah, Borneo. Opportunities also abound for scuba diving, parasailing, jet skiing, ziplining and more. • Contact info@exoticholidays.co.nz
