Argentina easier to get around

Getting around Argentina has got cheaper and easier with more airlines competing for passengers, including new ultra-low-cost carrier Flybondi and Norwegian Air Argentina.

Flybondi flys to 13 cities in Argentina: Bariloche, Bahía Blanca, Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Santiago del Estero, Corrientes, Neuquén, Tucumán, Salta, Jujuy, Iguazú, Posadas and Mendoza. Norwegian plans, by the end of the year, to have four Boeing 737s based in Argentina with the view to become a major carrier in the region with 10-15 aircraft by the end of 2019. Viva Expeditions advises there has been a push to expand the country’s aviation market and stimulate competition. A further 135 new air routes are opening up with increased investment in infrastructure and airports. And the scrapping of minimum fares regulation has resulted in cheaper fares.
