Loyalty a big focus for Marriott

Growing its loyalty programme membership base will be a big focus for Marriott in New Zealand when the programme merges into one platform on 1 August.

 

‘Members will have one ID number across the SPG, Marriott and Renaissance programmes,’ explains Ashley Hansen, area director of sales and distribution at Marriott International who was at the At Marriott roadshow in Auckland on Monday 28 May. ‘And it will be easy to swap points between brands.’ Loyalty programmes are increasingly influencing the way people book, he says. ‘And they help drive awareness of brands globally.’
