Comprehensive Canada by rail

World Journeys say they’ve had great interest in their new rail journey across Canada, the 21-day Grande Canadian Journey, particularly from clients wanting a more in-depth experience of Canada – from West to East.

The itinerary starts in Vancouver with a Rocky Mountaineer rail journey to the alpine town of Banff. Guests then travel by road through the Bow Valley to Lake Louise, with the chance to stay at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

From there guests travel along the Icefield’s Parkway to Jasper where they again board VIA Rail’s ‘Canadian’ train for the train journey across the prairies and lake lands to Toronto.

After exploring Toronto and Niagara Falls guests are back on VIA Rail heading for Eastern Canada - Montreal and Quebec City, then on to the Atlantic Coast with its villages, history and whale watching.

Covering Canada’s three popular regions, the itinerary is priced from $11,536pp (share twin) including 16 nights hotel accommodation and four nights aboard VIA Rail; transport by Rocky Mountaineer, VIA Rail and coach; transfers; sightseeing; National Park fees; six breakfasts, eight lunches and four dinners. Departures are late June through to mid-September.
