Alison Jones from Orbit Wellington says the visit to Liniers cattle market, which is the major livestock trade centre of the country ‘was such a great experience. Coming from a farming background it was good to see how the sale was run.’ The group also took to the streets of Palermo where Sarah Duder, Orbit Dunedin enjoyed wandering the streets to discover murals down little side alleys. Before flying home the group visited the San Telmo markets, which offers not just a range of handicrafts but is also alive with street performances, food stalls and antiques.
Amy Collins from Orbit Christchurch says ‘I was surprised to find so many boutique fashion stores, and eateries. I had assumed the majority of restaurants would be very traditional, based around meat and red wine, but there was a vast array of eateries offering delicious food so you’re certainly spoilt for choice.’ Taking up a tip from one of their local guides the group also discovered one of Buenos Aires best dining spots, view here. Viva wants to show agents that Buenos Aires has something for everyone, whether they are leisure or corporate clients, and everyone was blown away by how much there is on offer. vivaexpeditions.com/tours/southamerica/argentina
