TM: GrapeFest is well established in Grapevine – what are some of the key features of the event? What other annual or regular events help drive visitation to Grapevine? The Christmas orientated events look interesting….
PW: GrapeFest is Grapevine’s largest annual festival, attracting more than 260,000 people over four days. This festival is dedicated to all things wine. Visitors can vote on their favourite Texas wines, enjoy sparkling wine and champagne in the Champagne Terrace and visit pavilions featuring Texas wine, a US wine region and International wine region. GrapeFest 2021 will highlight Barossa Valley in our International Wine Pavilion. The festival includes live entertainment, festival foods, artisan vendors, carnival and more.
Grapevine has been designated a World Festival and Events City by the International Festivals & Events Association due to the number of high-quality festivals and events we hold. Every spring we host our Jazz Wine Trains, when attendees enjoy live jazz and sample wines while on board the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. In April, we celebrate the upcoming grape harvest with the New Vintage Wine and Gallery Trail & Blessing of the Vines.
Main Street Fest – A Craft Brew Experience is a three-day festival celebrating the craft brew scene.
We end the year with the Christmas Capital of Texas®. Grapevine hosts 1,400 events in 40 days, all celebrating the magic of the holidays. You can find snow in multiple locations around town; walk through ice sculptures at Gaylord Texan Resort’s ICE! ® exhibit; journey to the North Pole to visit Santa’s Workshop and meet Mrs Claus on board the North Pole Express®; enjoy an evening on the Christmas Wine Train; watch live Christmas entertainment and Classic Christmas Movies at the Historic Palace Theatre; shop magnificently decorated shops and take in twinkling Christmas lights.
