Fourteen New Zealand agents had a chance to meet with over 100 Australian tourism operators during the workshop and networking events, head out on a one day famil in Perth, which included Rottnest Island and the Swan Valley, plus join one of four mega famils – to Canberra and Sydney, Tropical North Queensland, Coober Pedy and Flinders Ranges, and a Victorian road trip. The event proved a great success with a 100% satisfaction rate from both Aussie Specialists and Australian Sellers.
Claire Wallace, House of Travel Hamilton City says, ‘Not only was it an effective and efficient way to learn about Australia, it also provided a forum for mixing with fellow travel enthusiasts from around the world. The evening events showcased the best Perth had to offer for both large scale and more intimate evenings, and the itinerary product inclusions were relevant and delivered to a very high standard.’ Agents’ posts can be viewed at #cw19wa on Instagram, or, if qualified as an Aussie Specialist, there’s a selection of images on the photos webpage under the Aussie Specialist Club. A spotlight on each famil will follow in the coming months. Tourism Australia’s Corroboree events take place annually, alternating between Western and Eastern markets.
