Norwegian ups Aus presence

Two of three Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ brands crossed paths in Sydney Harbour for the very first time this week.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s (NCL) Norwegian Jewel and Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ (RSSC) Seven Seas Voyager were both in port, representing more days in the region for NCLH ships.

‘Having two NCLH vessels in Sydney Harbour on the same day is a major milestone, with our commitment to the Australian and New Zealand market on display like never before,’ says senior vice president and managing director Asia Pacific of NCLH Steve Odell.

‘Since entering the market in 2015 we have worked closely with our valued trade partners to help connect cruisers with all three NCLH brands – Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises. Guest demand has since grown exponentially, resulting in our ships spending more time in regional waters than ever before.’

Norwegian Jewel was in Sydney to kick-start her final Australian itinerary, an 18-day ‘Australia & South-East Asia’ sailing, following her inaugural season.
