Solstice season launch

Managing director Australia and New Zealand, Susan Bonner, says the family of cruise lines will carry more than 120,000 guests in the region this year. Highlights include Ovation of the Seas returning for her third and longest season yet. She will be based in Sydney along with Explorer of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas and all together they will offer 60 sailings, ranging from three to 21 nights. Celebrity Solstice is having her seventh local season, with 16 cruises to 37 ports of call in 11 countries. On 16 March 2019, Celebrity Cruises will offer the line’s first round trip sailing from Auckland, calling into Bay of Islands, Fiji, Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga. Azamara Quest returns in December 2018, with seven local sailings during the season – her first New Zealand call being Dunedin on 13 January. The season will see maiden calls for the line to Gisborne, Nelson, Kaikoura and Stewart Island nature reserve.
