BritRail passes go mobile

The latest Rail in Britain brochure was handed out to agents at the Great Train Journeys trade function in Auckland late August.
A new feature is an M-Pass version of the BritRail England Pass. This enables clients to use the pass via their mobile phone.

Mark Haynes, commercial manager Australia and New Zealand with Visit Britain, says the other big message for the trade here is how easy it is for their clients to access heritage railways. These typically use steam trains to create a period atmosphere. ‘Steam rail is extremely popular so it is important that agents know how to book it,’ he says.
