Niue keeps agents and trade Appy

Agents will find the new GO! Niue App an ideal way to source up to date information for clients –as well as recommending it to agents as a handy tool while on holiday.

The app was launched officially to the New Zealand market at Lulu Bar in Auckland last night and business development manager of the Niue Chamber of Commerce, Rae Finlay says it puts all the destination’s information on a digital platform. ‘As soon as someone is interested in Niue or booking Niue, agents can find anything they require on the GO! Niue app. And of course the clients can use it when they get there.’

Finlay says the agent can link through to Air New Zealand, various accommodation providers’ websites and Niue Tourism. She says the app can give information on where the happy hours are being held on a particular day, which properties have cultural shows and what restaurants are open on what nights. ‘It’s important because we don’t have the frequent newspapers and other mediums that other places have.’ Finlay says the other big technology development happening on Niue is an upgrade to 4G from the current 2G network. ‘That will give us full coverage around the island, and even out to sea, which will improve maritime safety as well as the general experience for visitors.’
