They will be hosted by 28 regional tourism organisations. Charlie Ives, executive officer at Regional Tourism New Zealand, says registrations sold out quicker than any previous year in the event’s history.
There is also a waitlist for the event. ‘The buoyancy of the New Zealand tourism industry has attracted new IBOs, seen existing IBOs extend their staff numbers and there is a hunger for presenting the client with as much new and interesting product from all around NZ,’ says Ives.
‘Some companies are sending multiple staff on both days.
These include ATS/AOT, Southern World, Pacific Destinations and General Travel.
‘We have IBO companies travelling from Wanaka, Queenstown, Christchurch and Taupo specifically for the event.’
