Influencers a lucrative market

Social media influencers are becoming a lucrative niche for luxury travel agents and signify a new form of corporate travel, says a leading international agent.

 

Dane Steele Green, of Steele Luxury Travel, was at the Luxperience conference and exhibition in Sydney this week. ‘Companies used to have big budgets for traditional media – print, radio, television. Now they are spending tons of money on influencers – these people travel around the world often first class, no expense spared. ‘I don’t know how long it is going to keep happening, but at the moment it is an opportunity.’
