Country roads and a garden fair

MoaTours’ Country Roads & Cross Hills Gardens Fair is a seven-day, six-night small group tour that visits country gardens of the Waikato, Hawke’s Bay, Northern Wairarapa and Manawatu in the spring.

It follows a garden trail along country lanes to discover special historic homes where the group has a private lunch with garden hosts. Kimbolton’s Cross Hills Gardens Fair is an annual November highlight with around 180 stalls showcasing New Zealand–made products displayed in Rodney and Faith Wilson’s Cross Hills, a 7ha garden of 2000 rhododendrons and azaleas.

Other inclusions are Linda Peat and Tim Birdsall’s Tullamore Garden where miniature Galloway cattle graze, a guided tour with Edward Beetham of Brancepeth historic homestead, and a drive over Saddle Road, with Te Apiti wind farm stretching along the ridge and more. Click here for info.
