Wayne Deed, director of sales and marketing at South Sea Cruises, says the island beach club is a multi-faceted events venue that can accommodate up to 400 guests with a range of private spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions. ‘Brides can make an entrance along our pier, while their guests can relax before and after the ceremony on the island,’ he says. ‘We have complimentary non-motorised watersports available and an infinity-edge pool, or guests can relax on a daybed or poolside lounger with a drink in hand.’ He says Malamala Beach Club keeps things simple, just requiring a minimum spend for groups from the banquet menu.
He says event spaces (which can also be used for pre and post wedding gatherings) include The Deck – suitable for casual drinks, informal dining, cocktails and canapés for up to 40 standing guests; or The Venue – dedicated area for up to 50 seated guests, a semi covered space with ocean views and its own restrooms. The Restaurant has covered seating for up to 100 guests. Otherwise, wedding parties can make Malamala Beach Club their own private island for up to 400 guests. Agents should check minimum food and beverage spend and any landing fees etc in all cases. The brochure comes with an insert detailing Malamala Beach Club’s preferred weddings suppliers. Deed says Malamala can also come up with something special for anyone who wants to ‘pop the question’ at the beach club. email@example.com
