GLP Hotels updates NZ trade

New openings, expansions and refurbishments were announced by GLP Hotels and Promenade Tours to a select group of trade personnel in Auckland this week.
Armelle Tahi, managing director of the companies, says construction has commenced on the Hilton Wadra Bay on Lifou. The new hotel, which will feature 50 villas and rooms on or close to the beachfront, is due for completion at the end of 2021.

Hotel facilities will include two restaurants, health club, spa, outdoor pool and conference space. It will be managed by GLP Hotels under the Hilton brand.
Meantime, a new tower is being constructed alongside the three existing buildings that make up Hilton Noumea La Promenade Residences. The building will include 140 self catering apartments, pool and sun deck, plus large conference facilities.
A new reception area will service all four wings.
Escapade Island Resort will be closed from 1 May to 31 August 2020 coinciding with the restoration of the wharf leading to the hotel. During this time the hotel will undergo renovation, including the restaurant, reception, bar and refreshment of all bungalows.
Inbound agency Promenade Tours continues to focus mainly on the New Zealand and Australian markets and facilitate the task of travel agents to provide a comprehensive itinerary to their clients.
