Night of stars as Exotic turns 10 Featured

When Exotic Holidays started operating on 18 February 2010 there was a sense of doom and gloom around the world economy, something the travel industry hadn’t escaped.

The company got through that and continued to prosper – to the point were managing director Rahul Sharma and his team could celebrate Exotic’s 10th Anniversary with industry friends, partners and colleagues at Stardome in Auckland late last week.

Sharma identified experience, passion and dedication as keys to success, but also acknowledged a number of people who helped him through Exotic’s early years (including an honourable mention to Kevin Blackford, original owner of Travel Memo, now TRAVELinc Memo). The night included shows in the Stardome, drinks and dinner, as well as a number of prizes from suppliers and Exotic DMCs – including a ticket to Brisbane with China Airlines, land packages in Singapore, Bali, Vietnam, Dubai and Sri Lanka, a grand prize tour in Turkey and much more.

The theme of the night was Passport to the Universe, and guests were treated to an insight into galaxies, but Sharma confirmed there are no plans for a galactic brochure just yet. ‘We plan to concentrate on the regions we are in now.’
