Rovos Rail offers luxury rail journeys throughout southern Africa, with itineraries ranging from three to 16 nights, all including in-depth excursions to enjoy the wildlife, history and sometimes golf.
Travel designer Ruby Tai Tin and the travel agents she hosted had a taste of Rovos Rail with a lunch onboard the train, giving them the opportunity to explore the lounges and cabins as well as the dining car.
‘The fact that you can enjoy a delicious sit-down meal with cut crystal glasses, paired wines and top-notch service, on a train, is incredible. The train itself has a really nostalgic feel to it; it’s like experiencing the glamorous days of train travel,’ says Tai Tin.
