The 60-page edition introduces a new tour structure, with Pioneer, Explorer, and Traveller tours each offering a different style of travel and accommodation. Pioneer tours offer hands-on adventures with camping under the stars, Explorer combines off-the-beaten-track experiences with lodge stays, and Traveller moves at a gentler pace with upgraded accommodation.
Drifters is known for its small group tours, typically accommodating eight to 16 travellers, allowing for personalised experiences and engagement with local communities. Southern and Eastern Africa destinations include safari regions such as the Serengeti and Okavango Delta, as well as lesser-known locations in South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
Viva Expeditions (GSA for Drifters in NZ) says the new structure helps agents and clients easily match travel preferences with the style of tour that suits.
‘These categories provide a simple framework that makes it easy to guide clients to experiences that suit their interests and comfort level, whether it’s camping in the wild, exploring remote regions, or travelling at a more relaxed pace with upgraded accommodation,’ says Tanya Gurtin, Africa product manager at Viva Expeditions.
To coincide with the brochure launch, Viva is offering a Black Friday special: EUR 100 off any Drifters Pioneer or Explorer tour booked through Viva, available only until 27 November.
