Focus on Botswana

Adventure World has launched its 2020 Africa and Middle East collection with a focus on wildlife opportunities in Botswana.

The Botswana’s Secret Migration is a three-night itinerary at the newly built Migration Expedition Camp located in the Nxai Pan National Park. The Secret Migration in Botswana is a natural phenomenon where zebra travel in the thousands from Caprivi Strip in Namibia down to the salt pans in Nxai Pan National Park during the wet season from January to April. Another highlight is the chance to experience the beauty of the Baines Baobabs, a cluster of baobab trees with some said to be 4000 years old. The four-day trip including accommodation, meals, game activities and transfers from Maun is priced from $3585 per person.

Also new in the 2020 Botswana collection, is the extended nine-night photographic safari, Botswana in Focus. The itinerary explores Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta in depth, with viewing opportunities via the assistance of a safari expedition leader and an expert naturalist and photographer to help guests capture wildlife and landscapes. The 10-day trip is priced from $10,695 per person including all meals, internal flights and the use of Pangolin cameras and photo tuition.

‘In the last two months, perhaps partially inspired by the Lion King’s re-release, and significantly because New Zealand passport holders no longer require visas to enter South Africa, clients are finally starting to book for what may have been on the “to do” bucket list previously’ says Caryn Young, general manager of Adventure World Travel.
