The journeys operate on specific departure dates with a maximum of 18 guests, each hosted by a regional guide trainer. For example, on the five-day Eco-Guide Challenge journey in Botswana, teenagers go behind the scenes of ranger life in the Okavango Delta, learning about animal tracking, stargazing and wildlife identification.
Aiming to encourage aspiring conservationists and create ambassadors for Africa’s wild places, Eco-Guide Challenges are also offered in South Africa, Mozambique and Tanzania, with teenagers (aged 14-18) paying 50% of the adult rate.
