Increase of Kiwis to Egypt

Egyptian Ambassador to New Zealand,  Dina Farouk El Sehy, reports an upward trend of New Zealanders again travelling to Egypt.

Speaking to Robyn Galloway MD of Innovative Travel at Egypt’s National Day celebrations in Wellington yesterday the ambassador acknowledged the company’s long-standing commitment to Egypt, which has continued for over 30 years.

Ambassador El Sehy says the relationship between New Zealand and Egypt is strengthening in both tourism and trade.

The opening of the new Grand Egyptian Museum in November, dedicated to the boy king Tutankhamun, is already impacting positively on tourism bookings for 2023.

Innovative Travel’s Robyn Galloway says during her recent inspection trip in April,  she found the high level of locally operated ships Nile cruise ships to be impressive and easily able to cater to increasing demand for a luxury Nile cruise ship experience.

‘It is important for Kiwis to book early for 2023 to ensure confirmations,’ she says.
