Botswana tops the country popularity list, with safaris in Okavango Delta being the main drawcard. Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa follow, with itineraries combining Cape Town with Kruger National Park commonly requested.
World Journeys’ marketing manager Caroline Clegg says the company has retained specialist Africa knowledge in its team of travel designers and expects demand to keep growing.
‘As the majority of Kiwi travellers head to Africa in our winter, now is a great time to be booking, especially for those luxury rail itineraries and smaller, more exclusive luxury safari camps, as they do sell out quickly,’ Clegg adds.
