The company attended Bespoke Queensland to connect with inbounders in April, and last week was at the Australian Tourism Exchange for the first time.
Natalie Gardner, director of partnerships and experiences at Navair, says the company manages a fleet of aircraft for their owners which are available for charter when those owners are not flying.
‘We’re now working closer with the travel trade and we welcome agents who want to talk to us about packaging for clients who may be celebrating an occasion or attending an event. Having a private charter flight can provide extra assurance and confidence for high-end customers.’
Gardner says a popular combination is a reef, rock and harbour bridge excursion, visiting the Great Barrier Reef, Uluru and Sydney.
‘Sydney to Hamilton Island for stays at Qualia are popular and Lord Howe Island is off the charts for private jet flights at the moment. We’re sending two or three jets there a month.’
She says private jets are also popular for golf touring and for families, couples and groups who want extra privacy and security.
Navair partners with tourism operators, luxury lodges and event hosts to organise bespoke itineraries, shorten travel times and add a ‘touch of prestige’.
Gardner says America is a huge market for the company, especially time poor travellers visiting Australia. However, the company is also seeing New Zealanders and Australians taking advantage of private jet travel.
