World Journeys’ South America specialist Chris Lyons says the flights open up opportunities for ease of travel between the major Peruvian highlights of Cuzco and Machu Picchu, with those of Bolivia, such as the Uyuni Salt Flats and Lake Titicaca. 

‘Given that many tailor-made South American itineraries combine at least two countries, this route will be well used. Avianca flights between Cuzco and Bogota, and LATAM flights between Santiago de Chile and Cuzco are also recommencing, greatly enhancing connectivity on the South American continent,’ says Lyons.
