Delta’s AKL-LAX to be year-round

Delta’s nonstop, daily flight from Auckland to Los Angeles beginning 30 October 2023 will be extended year-round and will operate daily November-March and three times weekly April-October.

‘New Zealand has shown strong travel demand after we announced the new service between Auckland and Los Angeles,’ says Kelly Clive, Delta’s country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Starting from April 2024, Delta will operate the AKL-LAX route with its flagship Airbus A350-900 aircraft, featuring Delta One suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin services.

Delta is the largest carrier in LAX globally, with more than 150 peak-day departures and more than 160,000 weekly seats, including domestic. Customers on Delta’s AKL-LAX flights can connect to nearly 60 cities in the US and Latin America.

Delta’s LAX-AKL route helps solidify the airline’s presence within its LAX hub, complementing the completion of the Delta Sky Way at LAX project last month.
