Prices for the all-inclusive itinerary start from $5,115 per person, giving travellers an extra day to immerse themselves in the island’s landscapes and traditions.
The Refugia Chiloé itinerary showcases the island through guided land and sea excursions.
Travellers are able to experience a region known for colourful palafitos (stilt houses), thriving artisan communities, and UNESCO World Heritage-listed wooden churches.
‘While many travellers are drawn to Patagonia, the Atacama Desert and Easter Island, Chiloé is one of Chile’s most authentic and rewarding destinations,’ says Ana Salazar, Adventure World’s product manager, South & Central America. ‘The limited-time stay four, pay three offer allows guests to slow down and truly absorb this travel experience.’
A highlight of the journey is a visit to Quinchao Island, where travellers gain insight into Chilote communities through visits with local artisans and farmers. Guests learn about centuries-old agricultural practices, discover native potato varieties of the archipelago and share a traditional homemade meal with local hosts.
The Refugia Chiloé experience is available from October to April and complements Adventure World’s tailor-made journeys across South America.
