US learning while in lockdown

Kiwi agents have been punching above their weight when it comes to demonstrating a willingness to keep learning in these tough times, say the organisers of a recent USA focused series of webinars.

Corey Marshall, founder and co-director of Canukiwi says the New Zealand trade made up considerably more than half of strong turnouts for Australia-NZ focused webinars on Utah, Nevada, Anchorage and Washington DC recently.

The number of Kiwi agents registered for the most recent event, DC, for example was 166 – the total ANZ number was 264.

Other webinars had similar results: Utah (115 Kiwis, 177 total); Nevada (140, 213); and Anchorage (146, 241).

Despite the remote educational method, the messages seem to be resonating with New Zealand agents – one of whom may have solved her next family holiday decision as well as being more informed for clients.

‘I had the kids watch too, now everyone wants to go to Utah,’ says Amanda Cuff, helloworld Travel Richmond.

Others found the webinars a nice distraction from the current gloom. ‘I am loving these weekly training webinars and getting to see the Canuckiwi team,’ says Kylie Andrews of Travel Managers. ‘Thank you for lifting our spirits, I can’t wait to get back to selling my way to the USA.’
