WJ's Castro’s Cuba 2024 tour

World Journeys has just launched its small group Castro’s Cuba hosted journey for next year.  The niche wholesaler says the 2023 departure was a sold-out success, so agents are urged to secure their clients’ bookings early.

Departing 29 April 2024, the 21-day itinerary flies from Auckland to Lima for a one night stopover before flying into Havana.

The group then heads for the Vinales Valley, home of extensive tobacco and coffee plantations.  Next is the Bay of Pigs, scene of the botched 1961 American invasion, and the seaside vibes of Cienfuegos.

In Trinidad there is a cooking class, salsa lesson and live music. In Camaguey clients can cycle through the winding streets which were designed to confuse pirates. There are two days at a beach resort on the Caribbean coast before guests head back to Havana and home.

Priced from $14,495 per person share twin or $16,495 per single, it includes return airfares ex AKL, four and five star hotels and superior guesthouses, all transport, sightseeing and entrance fees, some meals and all gratuities. A Cuban Tourist Card (visa) is also included and supplied by World Journeys. The group of no more than 18 participants is escorted throughout the journey by a World Journeys host.
