Exotic Holidays has an 18-day Splendours of North and South tour in India.

The trip begins in Delhi, exploring the historic lanes of Old Delhi plus New Delhi’s grand avenues and landmarks. It continues to Agra for the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, then travels to Jaipur via the atmospheric ruins of Fatehpur Sikri.

Clients continue to Jodhpur, the gateway to the Thar Desert where Mehrangarh Fort rises above the old city, then onwards to Udaipur, with a boat ride on Lake Pichola and time to visit the City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion Ki Bari.

Guests then fly south to Cochin, for its colonial landmarks, spice markets and Jewish heritage.

The journey takes in Kerala, beginning with Munnar, where tea plantations and cardamom forests create some of South India’s most scenic countryside. A signature experience is a houseboat cruise through the backwaters.

The last two days are spent on the shores of Kovalam with time to relax before departing from Trivandrum.

The tour is priced from $4,824 per person twin share.
