New waterpark for Phuket

Andamanda Phuket is a new multi-million-dollar water park and leisure complex that includes Thai mythology and legend, while allowing all ages to take part in aquatic activities.

Positioned in the up-and-coming Kathu district of Phuket, between Phuket Town and Patong Beach, the US$134m attraction marks the latest venture by Thailand developer Proud Group.

Andamanda is the largest leisure and entertainment facility in Phuket, covering 9.3 hectares. Recreational components, including a Thai heritage-themed water park with five separate zones, (Coral World, The Pearl Palace, Emerld Forest, Great Andaman Bay and Naga Jungle), two dining areas (The Village and Tropical Beach), plus entertainment spaces and retail outlets.

A collection of slides and rides, a 550-metres-long lazy river (the longest in Asia), and a 10,000sqm wave pool that will generate waves up to three metres high are among the features. Andamanda has cabanas and VIP pavilions throughout the park, a tropical beachfront restaurant and a series of swim-up bars – including one nestled in a near-life-size replica of Koh Tapu, Thailand’s ‘James Bond Island’.
