Viking's World Cruise sells out

As a strong indicator of the demand for cruising, Viking’s 136-day 2021-2022 World Cruise has sold out in record time.

‘Demand for cruising is still strong,’ says Michelle Black, Viking ANZ managing director. ‘We are now seeing a positive uplift in bookings for 2022 and 2023 across our river, ocean and expedition portfolios. Anecdotal feedback and qualitative past passenger research has identified a strong belief that once international travel is open there will be huge demand for available capacity

which is driving the current booking pattern.

‘As can be seen from the results of our World Cruise sales, we are also seeing a strong trend towards longer itineraries. After this past year, people are reviewing and reassessing their future plans, and are putting their wish list into action.”

Sailing on Viking’s 930-guest, all-veranda Viking Star, the grand voyage visits the Caribbean and South Pacific; calls upon ports in Asia, from Hong Kong to Bangkok; visits the Middle East, including Oman, Jordan, Egypt and Israel; and sails through the Mediterranean before concluding in London.
