Rail Europe has added Switzerland’s Berner Oberland Pass to its B2B website and API.

A regional pass that complements the Swiss Travel Pass and with validities ranging from three, four, six, eight to 10 consecutive days between 1 April and 31 October, the Berner Oberland Pass includes unlimited travel within the Bernese Oberland region. It gives access to more than 25 mountain excursions and cable car rides; and up to 50% discount on numerous other mountain railways in the region.

The Swiss panoramic train journeys of the Glacier Express and Bernina Express are now available on Rail Europe’s B2B websites and via its API.

Rail Europe’s GM of APAC, Richard Leonard, says that post pandemic, Switzerland has emerged as a top mono European destination to explore.

Switzerland Tourism is launching a series of live webinars for travel agents, starting 19 May, with spot prizes up for grabs. Agents will be able to hear from and interact with partners from Zurich, Basel, Lucerne, Interlaken, the Jungfrau Regions and Jungfrau Railways, the Schilthorn (aka James Bond Mountain), Zermatt and the Swiss Travel System.

Switzerland Tourism is reminding agents who have not yet signed up to the 2018 Switzerland Travel Academy to do so before the end of the year and be in for chance to win one of three prizes valued at $500 each.
The simple e-learning programme equips agents with the necessary information, updates, tools and tips to help them sell and better assist their clients heading to Switzerland.
