Tracy Harris is the new business development executive for Francis Travel Marketing.

 

Residing in Ashburton, she has worked for the past five years with Ballance AgriNutrients as an On Farm Sales Representative and Social Media Ambassador. Harris will be covering the South Island and lower North Island.

Asia Now – that’s a wrap for 2018

Asia Now wrapped up with presentations and a Thai dinner at Grasshopper Restaurant central Auckland on Wednesday night. It was the last of six presentations (see TRAVELinc Memo Friday 11 June for a report from the Wellington version). Presenting companies included Singapore Airlines, Wendy Wu Tours, Macao Government Tourism Office, Philippine Airlines, Contiki, Garuda, Francis Travel Marketing / Fathom Asia, and Adventure World.

Niche wholesaler Francis Travel Marketing is open to opportunities and not ruling out further expansion, says managing director Tony Smith.

FTM’s latest acquisition was Fathom Asia in February this year, following the purchase of Europe specialist Orton International last year.

FTM has long been a cruise GSA (general sales agent) and representative and in 2011 picked up AIM Holidays – which specialises in shows, events, sports and packages in Australia and the United States.
