The Auckland event brought airlines, cruise lines, tour operators, travel suppliers and House of Travel experts together under one roof.
Of the customers who placed a deposit on a holiday at the Auckland event, 63% were new customers to HOT.
Travel Talks throughout the day covered everything from exploring Europe to South Africa’s wildlife, as well as tips for those considering their first cruise.
While stores had encouraged existing customers to attend, including one store chartering a Globus-sponsored escorted day tour from Ōrewa, it was the new faces and the conversations taking place that stood out.
‘This was the first Bazaar since pre-Covid and it provided a great opportunity to talk to our experts and gain first-hand knowledge from supplier partners,’ says Katrina Cole, manager, HOT Botany Junction.
The bazaar was part of a programme of Travel Expos held by HOT stores around the country. Travellers took advantage of travel deals and began to lock in holidays for 2026, 2027 and even 2028.
