‘We have had a lot of interest for this, so we decided to apply the special to Egypt and Cambodia as well. The visa fee still applies but there is no processing charge as long as the land arrangements booking with us is a minimum of six nights.’

In the case of India and Egypt this is a saving of at least $80 and for Vietnam and Cambodia at least $50. The waiver is for bookings made up to 30 September 2022.

Sharma says agents have the option of still charging a fee to clients for the processing or highlighting the free processing as an added service.

‘We know people are increasingly using agents because of the complications involved with travel now. This is a way to reduce the hassle for customers.’

Sharma says all four countries in the offer are proving popular and he highlights Egypt in particular.

‘Egypt bookings are going through the roof and people are adding on experiences there. Pre Covid it would be fairly usual for people to go to Cairo and take a Nile cruise. Now they are still doing that but also visiting a number of other destinations. So while programmes may normally have been eight to nine days they are now 14 to 16 days.’
