She says the new announcements, particularly those giving clients more flexibility – like Independence by Globus and Choice Touring by Globus – have been extremely well received, along with the news that Avalon will be cruising the Douro in Portugal from 2024.
Cambridge-based broker Nicky Knowles, of Travel Advocates, says the choice and independence options will be well received by customers.

‘There’s always demand for options pre and post as well as stopovers. Obviously anything we can sell up front is value for us, as well as showing care for the client if you can offer more than a transfer and a hotel.’
