Hosted by Qantas’ Emily Rose, regional marketing manager, and Aloma Butler, sales operations manager, the famil included on-ground hosting by Samoa Tourism’s senior sales and marketing officers Sinamalama Sesega and Georgina Strickland, who led all itinerary planning and on-ground arrangements.
Across a multi-day itinerary spanning both Upolu and Savai’i, agents had extensive property inspections across a diverse range of accommodation – from internationally recognised resorts including Sheraton Aggie Grey’s Hotel & Bungalows, Taumeasina Island Resort and Sinalei Reef Resort & Spa, to boutique beachfront properties and traditional beach fales.
The famil highlighted Samoa’s culture and beauty, with experiences such as the Samoa Cultural Village, Robert Louis Stevenson Museum, the iconic To Sua Ocean Trench, Lalomanu Beach and the Savaia Giant Clam Sanctuary.
This coincided with Qantas’ expansion into the Pacific from New Zealand, as the airline strengthens its regional footprint. Qantas now operates flights to Samoa three times per week on its Boeing 737, with departures from Auckland on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
