Scheduled to enter service in early August, Jaguar follows the successful launch of Yasawa Flyer III and joins recently introduced vessels Yasawa Princess II, Lynx and Puma.
Purpose-built by Australian shipbuilding partner Aus Ships Group in Brisbane, Jaguar has been designed to enhance connectivity throughout Fiji’s Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands while delivering greater operational flexibility, improved guest comfort and lower environmental impact.
With capacity for 227 passengers, Jaguar becomes Fiji’s third-largest high-speed passenger ferry and will operate across multiple scheduled services and tourism routes. The vessel delivers an estimated 10% improvement in fuel efficiency compared with similar vessels.
Clients will find spacious air-conditioned lounges, panoramic viewing areas, licensed onboard refreshments, open-air seating and a dedicated travel desk.
Brad Rutherford, CEO of South Sea Cruises Group, says the investment reflects the company’s confidence in the future of Fiji tourism. ‘Jaguar enables us to continue delivering world-class marine transport with improved efficiency, greater sustainability and the exceptional service standards our trade partners and guests have come to expect,’ he adds.
