Niue opens, flights resume

Niue Tourism has been busy connecting with the industry this week, celebrating the return of quarantine-free, weekly flights to Niue that started on Tuesday 28 June.

Delivering colourful baskets full of tropical fruits to key suppliers and sharing a special ‘Celebration Cake’ with Pacific Island management at Air New Zealand, were on the agenda.

‘Niue may not be booked every day, but we’re working hard to give you reasons to try our special Pacific Island,’ destination manager NZ - Australia for Niue Tourism, Gaye Wood says.

NZ 936 from Auckland to Niue departs Tuesday at 9.10am, arriving Niue 1.40pm -1 (Monday); NZ 937 from Niue to Auckland, departs Monday at 2.45pm, arriving Auckland at 5.30pm +1 (Tuesday).

Gaye Wood, Destination Manager NZ-Australia confirms a wide variety of Niue marketing and media activity is now underway – from four-page feature stories in both the current June Adventure magazine, and next month’s NZ Fishing News – plus digital, radio, print and a new revitalised Niue Island website coming soon.

All passengers on the weekly Tuesday flight from Auckland (arriving Niue Monday) are required to complete the ‘Niue Travellers Declaration Form’ at www.covid19.gov.nu – and receive a Travel Pass for entry into Niue. This Niue Pass contains a unique QR code required by each passenger to board the flight and will also be required on arrival in Niue to present to the authorities at the airport.
