Vanuatu Tourism’s virtual famil

Vanuatu Tourism Office has worked with accommodation providers to collate a series of videos that show what their product is looking like.

‘We know it is a difficult time to try and get agents on famils with the industry still facing staff shortages. Having full confidence in recommending places for their clients to stay can be a real challenge,’ says Jacquie Carson, VTO’s NZ market representative.

‘To solve this issue we are bringing the properties to retail agents in New Zealand virtually, just as though they were on a famil.

‘We asked the resorts/hotels to only submit video footage taken of the property over the past few days, it didn’t need to be professionally filmed, but rather from their mobile phones as they walk around the property, just like a famil inspection. This way it is a real reflection of what guests will experience during a stay at the property.’

Videos from the following properties can be found on the Vanuatu Specialists website: Aore Island Resort, Aquana Beach Resort, Iririki Island Resort & Spa, Mangoes Resort, Matevulu Lodge, Nasama Resort, The Grand Hotel & Casino, The Melanesian Hotel, The Moorings Hotel, The Moso and The Terraces.

Each of these properties is Triple C Certified, meaning they have undertaken safe business operations training to provide enhanced levels of hygiene and protection for guests.

More videos are expected including more resorts and tours, so agents will gain knowledge by checking the link regularly.
