Strong bookings for BLC

Fiji’s South Sea Cruises is continuing to see a strong recovery across all of its products, with forward bookings in 2023 already indicating that clients need to get in quick if they have particular dates they are considering, says the company’s general manager marketing, Sonya Ridley.

The comments come as Blue Lagoon Cruises (BLC) releases its latest brochure, while agents should also look out for a new Awesome Adventures brochure soon.

‘The BLC product hasn’t changed, but we’ve made the brochure more user friendly, provided more information on what’s available and detailed our add-on options such as Malamala and celebration packages,’ says Ridley.

She says Blue Lagoon Cruises is back with regular itineraries, including village visits (temporarily stopped during the pandemic).

‘We are basically sold out for November, with a couple of spots available, and we have a few places left in December. Then we have some capacity in January, February and March, which is traditionally our slower season.

‘Agents should definitely encourage their customers to get in quick for a Blue Lagoon Cruise any time in 2023.’

Ridley says the Awesome Adventures product has also come back strong, with numbers back to about 60% of pre-Covid.

Meantime, Malamala Beach Club is seeing considerable demand for its recently introduced massage service (offered by the local community) and Ridley says the beach side cabanas and poolside daybeds are booked out most days. ‘We are looking to introduce other spaces that can be pre-booked.’
