Changes at World Travellers

Dave Nicholson Dave Nicholson

Dave Nicholson is stepping down as general manager of World Travellers after eight years at the helm. Nicholson has guided the cooperative through industry disruption, growth, and transformation. He now leaves for what he describes as ‘travel – and then absolutely nothing involving a laptop.’

Nicholson will be finishing up with the group in August and World Travellers is now recruiting for a full time GM.

Chair of the board is now Wendy van Lieshout, who previously served as CEO of World Travellers in its early years before moving to Queenstown to take on a global CEO role in adventure travel. She returned to the cooperative as chair in March, succeeding Craig Corbett, who continues to serve on the World Travellers board as a founding director.

‘The fundamentals that made World Travellers strong from the start are still there. And the opportunity in front of us is genuinely exciting,’ says van Lieshout.
